The Education and Business Summit is South Carolina's largest annual professional development event for the state's Career and Technical educators and administrators. Over the years, the Summit has grown to attendance levels of 1500 plus. With four days of keynote presentations, concurrent sessions addressing best practices in Career and Technical Education, and the opportunity to earn re-certification credits onsite, the Summit is an experience that you can't afford to miss.

The Education and Business Summit is a multi-faceted professional development, training, and informational state conference supporting accountability regarding all aspects of career and technical education, including a focus on the integration of academics and career and technical education, transitions from secondary to post-secondary education, and teachers’ certificate renewal. The scope of this state-level conference (over 170 general and concurrent) requires that delivery of content, training, professional development, and information be offered in multiple programming strands and activities. Among these are the following, most of which support certificate renewal efforts as approved by the Office of Educator Services/Teacher Licensure and local district Personal Professional Development Plans:
South Carolina’s investment in building the bridge between education and career is supported through the leadership of the Governor, the General Assembly, and the Superintendent of Education. South Carolina is making a strategic investment in CTE which annually helps prepare over 200,000 South Carolina students for the high skilled, competitive workforce. South Carolina provides a critical state investment in funding for CTE.
