"dediCATE to Leadership"
The Education and Business Summit is a multi-faceted professional development, training, and informational state conference supporting accountability regarding all aspects of career and technology education, including a focus on whole school reform, the integration of academics and career and technical education, transitions from secondary to postsecondary education, and teachers’ certificate renewal. The scope of this state-level conference (over 170 general, concurrent, and roundtable sessions) requires that delivery of content, training, professional development, and information be offered in multiple programming strands and activities. Among these are the following, most of which support certificate renewal efforts as approved by the Office of Educator Quality/Teacher Certification and local district Personal Professional Development Plans:

- Career and Technology Education Program-Specific Training Sessions
- Career Guidance and Counseling Sessions
- Career Specialists Activities Training Sessions
- Content-Specific Concurrent and Roundtable Sessions
- Continental Breakfasts, Lunches and Breaks Monday through Wednesday
- CORE Academics Integration Sessions
- Common Core Workshop with CORD Leadership (Limit 100 Participants)
- DIRECT Program Courses (2) or Strand Sessions
- Education and Economic Development Act Updates and Sessions
- Educators in Industry Courses (3)/Certificate Renewal
- Exhibitors (75-100)
